VR in the classroom

Thanks to a grant awarded to Hubbard Public Library, our students were the very first to experience the new Oculus Meta Quest 2 Education Kit in the classroom!

Middle school teacher Andrea Murray was the first to check out the kit for her 5th-grade computer science classes. Her students dove into virtual learning adventures with apps like:

🐸 Dissection Simulator: Frog Edition

🌍 National Geographic Explore VR

🚀 Mission: ISS

🌌 Titans of Space

🌊 Ocean Rift

These kits, now available for checkout by educational institutions at the library, offer students an immersive learning experience through VR technology. Mrs. Murray has already reserved the kit for December to introduce her 6th graders to VR.

The library has also made seven individual Oculus devices available for public checkout, so students and families can explore at home, too.

We’re grateful to Hubbard Public Library for giving our students this hands-on learning opportunity.
