On Friday, September 27, 2024, the Hubbard High School Marching Band will culminate its centennial celebration with a special evening of music, welcoming back over 150 alumni musicians, majorettes and flag line members. Alumni, representing classes as far back as 1953, will join forces with the current "Musical Pride of Hubbard" for an unforgettable Homecoming Parade, Roosevelt Pep Rally and pregame and halftime performances.

The weekend will feature several events for alumni to take part in, including a rehearsal on Thursday, September 26, and a postgame celebration hosted by Bill Santangelo and the Eagle Grille. Alumni will also enjoy a catered brunch provided by Mary Beth Williams (HHS Class of 1969) and The Gentry, followed by a tour of the band room and music department at the high school.

Former band staff members were also invited to join the celebration, with notable attendees including former high school band directors Bill Forrester and Bob Paternity, as well as middle school director Barb Carbone. The reunion's emcee, Mr. Rick Williams, will serve as the voice of the band, giving current "Voice of Hubbard" Mr. Brian Luther the chance to march in the Alumni Band alongside his son, Sam.

The reunion committee was led by Scott Killian (HHS Class of 2005) and Jeanette Benigas Hunt (HHS Class of 2001), with support from current band directors Dan Nestich and Andrea Lewis, and the Hubbard Band Sponsors. This historic event promises to be a memorable celebration of 100 years of musical excellence in Hubbard.
